thisisneverthat: In Praise of Shadows - wagetsu わ月 Pop-Up

thisisneverthat® presents a pop-up exhibition with wagetsu わ月, a furniture brand by Los Angeles design studio WAKA WAKA and Japanese furniture maker KARIMOKU. Their connection, which began at ART BUSAN 2026 in May, continues with this event, allowing visitors to see and experience wagetsu’s furniture collection in Seongsu, Seoul.

An exhibition called “In Praise of Shadows” takes its cue from the essay of the same name by the Japanese writer Jun’ichirō Tanizaki. The concept is about how light and shadow create the atmosphere of a space, and the wagetsu furniture collection is used to realize the concept.

Visitors can see the collection and place orders during the exhibition. In addition, there will be a special collaboration T-shirt that will only be sold on the opening day.
