EDWIN x Eyes Look Left SS26

EDWIN has teamed up with EYES LOOK LEFT, a small independent clothing brand run by a married couple, James and Eva, from their home in Amsterdam. They started the brand during the COVID pandemic and built it up from their living room into a label known for simple, thoughtful designs. For this collab, they made a special version of EDWIN's Loose Fit jeans using EDWIN's Rainbow Selvedge denim, plus a small collection of tees, sweatshirts, and accessories.

In an interview, James and Eva shared some fun details about their brand. The name "Eyes Look Left" is partly political, and partly a nod to the idea that people supposedly look right when lying, so they chose to look left instead. Their designs are inspired by old music videos, movies, and magazines, and James says making graphics feels a lot like making music, mixing different references together until they work. They also talked about the challenges of running a business from home while raising two kids, and how much they love raw denim for the way it ages and tells a story over time.

The jeans from this collab are limited edition and only sold through the EYES LOOK LEFT website, not EDWIN's own store. It's a nice mix of a big Japanese denim brand and a small independent label, both sharing a love for good craftsmanship and honest design.
