Dazed MENA Covers Carhartt WIP’s “Material World” Event Hosted by Flendergroup in Istanbul

Dazed MENA recently featured the Material World event in Istanbul, held to mark the launch of Carhartt WIP’s WIP Magazine Issue 11. The event was hosted by Flendergroup and took place at NOH Extended, which was transformed into an immersive space filled with visuals, films, and objects taken directly from the pages of the magazine.

The installation explored the idea of how everyday objects can hold personal and cultural meaning. Items like a vintage t-shirt, a handmade necklace, and found objects were displayed alongside large-scale imagery and sound. Local DJ Sami Baha curated the music, creating a mood that tied the entire space together.

Dazed MENA’s coverage focused on how the event brought people together from different creative backgrounds and turned the magazine into a real-world experience. The Istanbul event is the first of several global pop-ups planned as part of the Material World project.
