Carhartt WIP x Michael Lau - "Flower: Serendipity"

Michael Lau and Carhartt WIP reunite for a new collaboration centered on Lau’s Flowers series. The project explores the idea that happiness and hope can be found in everyday surroundings, with flowers representing a positive mindset that can transform ordinary streets and spaces into personal gardens.

The concept continues Lau’s creative approach from his 1999 Gardener series and the Flowers works he developed during the pandemic. For the collaboration, his hand-drawn flower characters are translated onto Carhartt WIP pieces, including the Detroit Jacket, jersey crewneck, baseball cap and T-shirt.

The collaboration marks the second meeting between Lau and Carhartt WIP, following their 2017 12-inch Gardener figure project. An exhibition-exclusive capsule is being presented in Hong Kong, connecting Lau’s street art background with Carhartt WIP’s workwear-inspired designs and the wider culture of the city.
