This month, the focus is on Baltimore artists Infinity Knives and Brian Ennals. Since their first project Rhino XXL in 2020, the two have built a strong underground following. Their music mixes many styles, with Infinity Knives’ unique production and Ennals’ sharp, honest lyrics standing out.
In 2022, they released King Cobra, a mix of synth sounds and folk melodies. Their latest album, A City Drowned in God's Black Tears, came out this April on UK label Phantom Limb. The new record continues their experimental style, combining electronic glitches, heavy guitars, cumbia rhythms, and soulful touches. Ennals’ lyrics remain bold and direct throughout.
Alongside the release, the duo shared a music mix featuring past and new collaborations. There’s also an interview with Brian Ennals, where he talks about his writing process, use of humor, and what inspired the tone of their new album.
