Carhartt WIP and Salomon come together once again for their second collaboration, building on the values that shaped their first release: strong function, long-lasting materials, and performance you can rely on. Both brands share a deep connection to utility and outdoor culture, making this partnership a natural continuation of their shared vision.
For this drop, Carhartt WIP reworks a key Salomon silhouette with its own modern, workwear-inspired approach. The result is the X-ALP Carhartt WIP, a shoe designed to handle tough conditions while keeping a clean, detail-focused look. It is made with durable grainy leather, suede overlays, and finished with Carhartt WIP’s signature camouflage, giving the shoe a rugged but refined feel.
The campaign, directed by Bailey Marklew, adds a strong visual story to the release. Set in a remote outpost affected by strange electromagnetic forces and distorted gravity, it follows a group of researchers searching for answers. As they work, a hidden and unsettling presence begins to appear, adding a mysterious and cinematic layer that reflects the shoe’s sense of endurance, exploration, and unknown terrain.
